About Nigeria Chapter

International Fellowship of Christian Chaplains Incorporated (IFCCI) aka Chaplaincy Forum was founded in Nigeria by International Board of Directors on 2nd July, 2023 with Chaplain Professor Oluwamuyiwa Samuel, GCCF, FCCS, CCI as Chaplain-Commandant General.  Ever since the Chaplaincy Forum has grown with presence in about 10 countries. 

The Chaplaincy Forum is duly affiliated with Chosen Life Christian University and International Institute of Christian Theologians, Scholars and Professionals (ICTS).  IFCCI has the school arm named International Christian Chaplaincy Academy (ICCA) which is duly accredited by Global Accrediting Network and affiliated with Global Affiliate for Christian Schools. ICCA in partnership with Digital initiative for Christian Schools, an initiative of PlusAfri Global Network. Because of her widely acceptance, IFCCI is in partnership with League of Independent Christian Churches International (LICCI) for robust relationship and ICCA students’ attachment programme.

The Nigeria Command is presided over by National Commandant with Deputy National Commandant and all National Directors who serve as National Executive Council (NEC) which is the highest national decision-making organ.

The National Advisory Council (NAC) comprises of National Commandant, Deputy National Commandant, the six Zonal Commanders who are in the ranks of Chaplain Brigadier-General and State Commandants who disseminate policy made by NEC to the grassroots.

The State Executive Council (SEC) comprises of the State Commandant and Directors of all the Departments at the state level. 

The State Advisory Council (SAC) comprises of the State Commandant, Deputy State Commandant, Area Commanders and Divisional Commanders

The IFCCI Nigeria chapter is divided into six zonal commands as follows:

(1) North Central Zonal Command

(2) North East Zonal Command

(3) North West Zonal Command

(4) South West Zonal Command

(5) South East Zonal Command

(6) South South Zonal Command

Each Zonal Command is headed by a Chaplain-Brigadier General who oversees the states under their jurisdictions which are controlled by a Chaplain Colonel.

The State Commands are sub-divided into Area Commands with Chaplain-Major as their Commanders.  There are at least 2 Divisional Commands under each Area Commands which are headed by Chaplain Lieutenants.
